Black Buddha is a venture that will produce and promote socially conscious movies, music, poetry and other creative projects and expressions, all financed by a clothing line and Black Buddha merchandising.

The company's first film 'Ripple Effect'
[Winner, Directors' Choice Award - Best Film, Sedona Film Festival], is a story about how one can't escape one's past, spiritually. It is being distributed by Monterey Media Inc. in the US, and ThinkFilm internationally.

Future projects in development include 'Cake,' a story about the dangerous effects of ambition, 'Blue Water,' a funny and unexpected story about life and death, 'Brutally Honest,' a look at the high price of infidelity, and 'Ace in the Hole,' a turn-the-tables war story where the prisoner slowly takes control. All are ready to be made, at efficient budgets of three million per movie.

The clothing line will kick off with a line of cool t-shirts and hats, introducing the Black Buddha brand through an arresting icon and thought-provoking aphorisms. We intend to quickly establish Black Buddha as an expression of social consciousness and awareness, in the content and responsible manufacturing of our products, favoring noble materials and above average labor standards, as well as in the films we make.

The company website will be a positive community space for the socially-aware citizen, allowing the spiritually-inclined to meet, exchange ideas, and find like-minded products that support micro-loan programs, developing third-world communities and others in need. And as Whole Foods donates a portion of profits to farmers in need, and companies like Apple and Armani share profits with charities through Bono's (Product)Red organization, Black Buddha will do the same for the developing world, by fairly employing and sharing profits with those struggling to move forward. Contributing something positive to the planet, while keeping an entrepreneurial dynamic that allows the company to grow.
